Booking Terms and Conditions

When you make a booking request on our website, you will receive an automatic email informing you that your request has been registered. We then send a booking confirmation by email with a holiday rental agreement that, when signed and sent back to us, finalizes the booking. The contract is a short-term rental agreement covering the following:

Rented premises and inventory of fixtures

The premises are being let fully equipped and furnished.
The inventory of fixtures is provided by video, with a copy accessible via a download link after the keys have been handed over.
The tenant must, within 24 hours of checking in, notify the owner or authorized person of any comments or amendments. Failure to respond within the timescale is considered to be acceptance by the tenant of the report’s accuracy.

Purpose of the rental

Use for temporary holiday residence. Subleasing the premises is strictly forbidden. The premises must not be occupied by a number of people superior than specified in the agreement.

Duration of the rental

The rental is established for a set duration beginning and ending on the dates specified in the agreement.
Check-in times are from 4 to 6pm; check-out times are between 8 and 10am.

Payment terms

The total amount is paid in two phases:

Both payments must be made by bank transfer or by cheque drawn on a French bank. Utilities (water, gas, electricity, heating) are included in the rental price; telephone and movie rentals are in addition to the established price.
The rental price also includes tourist tax (you may read more about this in Atout France’s article), administration fees, a set of household and bath linen and a 4-hour cleaning service at the end of the rental. For rentals lasting more than one week, the price also includes a cleaning service on Saturdays with a change of bedding and towels.

Damage deposit

The tenant agrees to pay a damage deposit upon arrival, by cheque drawn on a French bank, to cover damages incurred to objects, furniture or other elements in the rented premises, as well as the non-included charges that have not been settled.
This deposit will be refunded without undue delay.

Insurance

The tenant agrees to send to the owner, by email or post and at the latest one month before the rental start date, proof of their “personal liability cover” for the rental contract in their travel insurance policy.
We would also like to draw your attention to the fact that your liability with regards to the risks traditionally related to the premise’s location and/or equipment come under a specific provision in the contract.

Booking cancellations and modifications

If the owner is informed of the cancellation at least 90 days prior to the rental start date, the amount paid by the tenant will be refunded, with a flat-rate €500 indemnity deducted from the refund.
Except in the case of force majeure recognised by law, if the owner is notified of the cancellation less than 90 days prior to the rental start date, then 50% of the total amount of the booking is charged and due. No refund can be provided if the cancellation is notified less than 30 days before the rental start date.
If a booking is modified, except in the case of force majeure or unless an alternative solution repairs the prejudice caused to the owner, no refund is provided.
